The November 2023 Edition of the Evident AI Index assesses the AI maturity of 50 of the world’s largest banks, reducing the minimum eligibility criterion to $200 billion in total assets. The ranking continues to focus on North American (20) and European (25) banks, but now features banks from Asia-Pacific (5) for the first time.

Methodology

The Evident AI Index is an "outside-in" assessment based on publicly available data from both company reporting and a range of third-party data sources. It has been built with input from 50+ leading subject matter experts in banking, technology, and benchmarking. Each company is assessed on over 100 individual indicators across four pillars of analysis:
